ID.4 Electric SUV
The Volkswagen ID.4 is coming soon and we’re so excited to bring it to you! VW’s 100% electric SUV with available all wheel drive will be unveiled on September 23 and reservations open that same day. For only $100, you can reserve yours. The deposit is completely refundable if you change your mind, but will ensure you’re first in line for this exciting new electric vehicle.
What We Know So Far
The first edition will arrive late 2020, with the other editions coming very early 2021. While we need to wait for unveiling to have official details, we’re expecting an affordable price point and an impressive range that’ll satisfy the daily driving needs of most.
On the all wheel drive version, there will be dual electric motors, one between the front two wheels and one between the rear wheels. This will provide excellent performance and handling, no matter what Colorado’s unpredictable weather throws at you!
We expect the ID.4 to be packed with plenty of safety and tech features to enhance the ownership and driving experience. It will also feature an extremely spacious interior for both front and rear passengers alike. Based on the ID.CROZZ concept, the ID.4 is the second vehicle to use the VW’s modular electric drive architecture (MEB), and the first to be sold in America. The “ID” name stands for intelligent design, identity and visionary technologies, and the number 4 identifies the new model as a compact SUV segment.
Charging Your ID.4
The ID.4 will be compatible with DC Fast Charging, allowing you to charge in approximately 30 minutes! This will make the electric driving experience, especially if you’re switching from a conventional gas vehicle, extremely convenient and easy. Just plug in at the ever expanding network of fast chargers and you’ll be on the road again in a half hour or less. We already have a DC fast charger available for use at Greeley Volkswagen, so you already know where you can plug in here in Greeley, Colorado! The ID.4 can also be charged with Level 2 equipment, which takes longer, but is available for in home installation. This means you can get more affordable charging equipment at your home for overnight charging, but still take advantage of fast charging when you’re on the go. It’s the best of both worlds!
Accessibility
VW’s goal for the ID.4 is to make it for the millions, not just millionaires. It’s going to be accessible to all, in an effort to make EV adoption easier for you! In addition to a reasonable price point, the ID.4 will allow you to qualify for up to $7,500 in federal tax credits and additional state tax credits. Get ready to make the right choice for your wallet and the earth! Stay tuned for the link to watch the unveiling live and reserve your ID.4.
