The 2019 Volkswagen Jetta has earned a 5 star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), joining VW Passat, Atlas, Golf, Golf Alltrack, Golf GTI, Golf R, Golf Sportwagen and Passat in the list of the government’s highest rated vehicles. NHTSA has provided consumers with vehicle safety information dating back to 1978, including front, side and rollover crash test ratings in order to help people make smart purchasing decisions.

The Jetta offers Automatic Post Collision Braking System standard on all trims. This system builds on the premise that a collision is rarely a single, instantaneous action, but rather a series of events that follow the initial impact—the most significant of which can cause additional collisions. The Automatic Post Collision Braking System is designed to address this by applying the brakes when a primary collision is detected by the airbag sensors, thus helping reduce residual kinetic energy and, in turn, the chance of additional damage.

Available driver assistance features on the Jetta, which contributed to the 5 star rating, include Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Traffic Alert, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Assist, and Light Assist.

“Volkswagen is delighted that the Jetta, our best-selling model, has earned the highest 5-star overall safety rating from the government—providing further validation that Volkswagen vehicles are among the safest vehicles in the industry,” said Derrick Hatami, Executive Vice President of Sales, Marketing and After Sales for Volkswagen of America, Inc.

This year was the Weld County Fair’s 100th Anniversary, so it has been a very exciting fair season here in Greeley this week! Greeley Volkswagen was proud to attend and support the Fair’s Junior Livestock Sale again this year. It’s a great event that we’ve enjoyed being a part of year after year. We love seeing the community come together to support the 4H members who have worked so hard all year raising their livestock. It’s no easy task, and we’re so proud of the kids who learn such discipline through the process of raising their animals. This year, we purchased 2 cows and 2 pigs. All of the money spent goes directly to the kids, and buyers have the option to donate the meat from the livestock to the Weld County Food Bank. The event is such a great way to give back!

Check out this Greeley Tribune article to learn about the record breaking sales that happened this year!

All of us in Weld county are well aware of the hail that hit the Greeley and surrounding areas so hard during late June. According to the Greeley Tribune, “the storms that pelted northern Colorado and metro Denver with golf ball and baseball-size hail June 18 and 19 caused an estimated $276.4 million in insured losses resulting from approximately 49,600 auto and homeowners insurance claims filed so far.”

Unfortunately, many of our customers and neighbors reported total losses on their vehicles, and they aren’t the only ones who were impacted by the storms. Many of the new and used vehicles on our lot were damaged by the hail as well. Fortunately, most vehicles only suffered minor cosmetic damage.

A little damage for us means huge savings for you! We are currently running a big hail sale on all affected vehicles. Don’t mind a few minor dings? Now is the time to get to the dealership to find your next vehicle and take advantage of very aggressive discounts. Prefer to have the damage fixed? No problem! We can have the damage fixed, and you’ll still receive a discount.

We’re sorry to hear about everyone who suffered damage but are happy to offer great savings to those who need some assistance getting into a new vehicle. Give us a call or stop by today to see what we have in stock and learn about the discounts being offered.
